Petroperú delivers food supplies to artisanal fishermen in Talara
- The supplies will help mitigate the impact of abnormal waves in the northern part of the country.
Petroperú delivered essential food supplies to more than 2,500 artisanal fishermen from the guilds of San Pedro (Pariñas), La Brea-Negritos, Lobitos and Cabo Blanco. This action seeks to support families affected by the anomalous waves that have hit the northern part of the country, affecting their productive activity.
The delivery included essential foods such as rice (1,568 kg), sugar (1,000 kg), noodles (1,224 kg), cans of tuna (2,160 units), vegetable oil (125 liters), crackers (1,452 units), oatmeal (60 kg), evaporated milk (720 cans), instant coffee (9 kg) and bottled water (2,100 liters).
This initiative is part of Petroperú's Social Management Policy and the Local Development Contribution Program of the Talara Community Relations Plan, aligned with its commitment to promote the well-being and sustainability of the communities in its area of influence.
For more than seven years, Petroperú has contributed to promoting artisanal fishing activity, carrying out training projects and providing equipment to improve production and the safety of its operations. With this new delivery, the company reaffirms its commitment to Talara and its willingness to continue collaborating closely with fishermen and their families.
