Petroperú delivers equipment to people with disabilities in Talara

As part of its commitment to inclusion and community development, Petroperú made a second delivery of biomechanical equipment to users of the Municipal Offices for the Care of People with Disabilities (OMAPED) in the Talara districts of Lobitos, La Brea-Negritos and El Alto. This social action benefits 88 people, who received personalized mobility devices that will allow them to improve their autonomy and quality of life.

Among the equipment delivered are wheelchairs for adults, pediatric neurological chairs, wheeled walkers and canes, which were assigned according to the specific needs of each beneficiary. One of them highlighted that “this support will make a big difference in everyday life,” while others expressed their gratitude for the impact that this equipment will have on their daily lives.

The initiative is developed in coordination with district authorities and is part of Petroperú's Local Development Contribution Program, in line with the Community Relations Plan that the company is promoting in Talara, where it temporarily operates oil lots I, VI and Z-69.

This effort is added to the delivery made in 2023, when 79 biomechanical equipment were donated to the OMAPEDs of Pariñas and La Brea- Negritos. In addition, industrial kitchens, refrigerators and kitchen implements were distributed to benefit 1,814 people with disabilities. With these actions, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to social inclusion and support for the communities where it is present.
