PETROPERU delivers donation for the rehabilitation of the Health Center of Talara

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU, Carlos Paredes Lanatta, made a symbolic delivery of the first economic donation to the Regional Governor of Piura, Servando García Correa, which will be invested in the preparation and supervision of the technical file that will allow the rehabilitation of the equipment in the operating room of the Talara II Health Center “Carlos Humberto Vivanco Mauricio”.

The ceremony, held on the esplanade of the aforementioned establishment, was attended by local and regional authorities as well as residents of the Pariñas district. During the same, the symbolic delivery of a check was made for S/ 321,133.83, which will cover the cost of the technical file for the referred project; which, as a whole, implies a donation of S / 5’037,992.98, for the benefit of the uninsured population in the province of Talara.

“Today, when PETROPERU celebrates its 50th anniversary, our commitment to promote the country is always renewed and strengthened because we are sure that projecting ourselves to the community, delivering the best of us, we will contribute to building the path towards a more supportive and committed society with the development of our province and the country,” said Paredes Lanatta.

Prior to the start of the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU toured the facilities of the health center, accompanied by the Regional Health Director, Víctor Távara Córdova and the head physician of the establishment, Hugo Albán Gallo, with whom he will meet this week so that The intervention of the State Company in supporting the health of the Talareños is more efficient and lasting.

On the other hand, PETROPERU carries out more than 3,500 attentions per year, through medical campaigns in this emblematic province of the oil industry. Also, since 2016 and in coordination with the Ministry of Health - Talara, participates in the vector control campaigns of dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.

This rehabilitation - as well as the aforementioned activities to support the health of the population - is part of the Community Relations Plan of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project, which seeks to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the Talara community and is a of the priority activities of the Social Management Policy of PETROPERU.
