PETROPERÚ delivers an important batch of books to implement libraries in the country's prisons
PETROPERÚ delivered an important batch of bibliographic material from Ediciones COPÉ to the National Penitentiary Institute (INPE), to be distributed in several detention centers throughout the country.
In total there are more than 1800 copies that will be part of the libraries located inside each facility. Among the books, copies of various authors such as César Vallejo and Luis Hernández, among others, stand out.
This activity is part of the cultural and social work that PETROPERÚ has been carrying out, always with the firm commitment to contribute to improving the quality of life in the various areas of the country.
The delivery of the books took place in the Miguel Castro Castro prison, during the launch ceremony of the "Hubert Lanssiers" story contest, which PETROPERÚ has sponsored for several years, on a permanent basis, together with the Human Dignity and Solidarity Association.
Participating in the conference were Jorge Palomino Chávez, director of the penitentiary establishment; Carlos Álvarez, president of the Human Dignity Association; Xenia Poblet from the Cultural Management Unit of PETROPERÚ and diplomatic representatives from the Belgian embassy, taking into account that Huber Lanssiers, the notable Catholic priest, was of Belgian nationality.
