PETROPERU delivered school supplies to Ilo schools

More than a thousand students from six educational institutions in the province of Ilo, in the Moquegua region, were benefited with school supplies packages that will help them in their academic development during this year.

During two days, the educational materials were delivered to Santa Rosa de Lima schools, in the El Algarrobal district; Francisco Bolognesi, from the sector of Miramar; Andrés Avelino Cáceres and Mercedes Cabello de Carbonera, from the Villa del Mar urbanization; as well as educational institution N ° 43030, from the Nylon San Pedro area; and the special educational institution Corazón de Jesús.

The delivery was in charge of Ricardo Medina López, coordinator of the Subcommittee on Community Relations of PETROPERU.

The directors of the educational institutions expressed their satisfaction with the support of the state company. "We believe that, with this initiative, PETROPERU contributes to improving the academic conditions of our students from Ileos. We appreciate the effort they are making," said Medardo Guevara Herrera, director of the IE Francisco Bolognesi.

PETROPERU is currently building its new terminal in the province of Ilo in the area of Lomas La Buitrera, in compliance with its commitment to move its current plant to an industrial sector.

The support to the educational institutions of Ilo is part of the Social Management Plan of the Company with the general objective of improving the quality of life of the communities and neighboring populations to its operations.

Along that line, PETROPERU is planning for the month of May a series of cultural activities, contributing in this way with the celebrations for the 49th anniversary of the province of Ilo.
