PETROPERU delievers educational material to 32 public schools in Talara

Over twelve thousand elementary students from Talara benefit from the educational packs that PETROPERU delivered to 32 educational institutions in the oil province, as part of its social responsibility program "Educando para el mañana".

The delivery of the packages, containing classroom educational material, was carried out in order to promote collaborative work in the classroom and the empowerment of the artistic abilities of the students.

"In this way we contribute to reinforce the development of the abilities of the students during the learning process in the classroom," said engineer Jorge Almestar Mauricio, Talara Refining manager, during the delivery of 41 educational packs to the I.E. 15513 "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe".

Its director, Professor Rafael Rivas Garrido, thanked the support of PETROPERU not only for the delivery of educational material for the primary level classroom, but also for the different programs that have been implemented in recent years and that have contributed to the formation of the School of the Southern Area of Talara.

For its part, the director of the Local Education Management Unit (Ugel) Talara, Carmelita Abad Meca, highlighted the relevant role played by the state oil company in the training of school children in the province of Talara. "PETROPERU has always been present as a strategic ally in the development of education, with which we maintain a constant articulation for the benefit of the children and young people of this province."

In the district of Pariñas, educational packs have been delivered to the public institutions of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Andrés Avelino Cáceres, María Reina de la Paz, Jorge Chávez, Cap. FAP José Velarde Vargas, María Reiche, San Sebastián, José Cayetano Heredia, Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres, Domingo Savio, Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, José Gálvez Egúzquizaga, Máximo Cornejo Pacora, Monsignor Luis Pacheco Wilson, Felipe Santiago Salaverry, Víctor Maldonado Begazo, Santa Lucia, Santa Elena, Jabonillal and Casas Negras.

In La Brea, educational packs were delivered to the Cristo Rey, La Capilla, José Antonio Encinas and San Pablo schools. In Lobitos, schoolchildren benefited from Educational Institution 14911 and in El Alto, schools 15515, Julio César Tello and Cabo Blanco. Meanwhile, in Los Organos, packs were delivered to educational institutions El Ñuro, Divino Cristo Rey and Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes.

Committed with education

As part of its social commitment, PETROPERU maintains constant support for the education of children and young people in the province of Talara, through the delivery of educational material, as well as the development of teacher training and the implementation of educational programs.

Through its program "Together for the environment", applied to the public schools of Talara, has contributed in the development of bio-gardens, the installation of clean points, recycling campaigns and lectures of awareness in solid waste management.
