PETROPERU Cultural Center presents theater play “Monólogos Femeninos”

Elena Pasapera, Liliana Miranda, Carmen Navarra and Marita Palomino interpret the theatrical play "Monologos Femeninos" (Femenine Monologues) that PETROPERU will present on Thursday the 28th, starting at 7pm, in the auditorium of its Cultural Center, located at Av. Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro. Admission is free, subject to the capacity of the audience.

The play promotes the process of recognition of the value of women around the world. The stage play wants to show the history of real life and fiction women that have left a message of strength and intelligence, visionaries who have believed that the fullness of rights for women is possible.

The characters recreated from literary works are Emma Bovary from the famous novel "Madame Bovary" by Gustave Flaubert and Rosita from the play "Doña Rosita la Soltera" by Federico García Lorca; while the real characters represented are the legendary flamenco dancer Lola Flores and the writer Virginia Woolf. The latter will be interpreted by the actress, poet and singer Elena Pasapera; Lola Flores, by the photographer and poet Liliana Miranda; Emma Bovary by actress Marita Palomino; and Doña Rosita by the dramatist and poet Carmen Navarra.

The stage play will be directed by the poet and educator Ana María García, director in Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) of Spain; and will allow attendees a moment of relaxation, but also of awareness and reflection on the condition of women today.

This presentation is part of the cultural activities of PETROPERU, which include -this year- important exhibitions; publication of the winning works of the 2018 Copé Awards and other works of the Copé Publishing House; sponsorship and participation in the International Book Fair in Lima; narrative and poetry workshops, among others.

We hope to see you there.
