PETROPERU criminally reports former officials for omission of functional acts
In relation to the journalistic report issued in a Sunday program, related to the bond letters issued by the company Sociedad Peruana de Gas, for an amount of 26 million soles, PETROPERÚ indicates the following:
- The commercial relationship with the company Sociedad Peruana de Gas and PETROPERÚ took place in 2019, during the administration of Carlos Paredes Lanatta, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Carlos Barrientos Gonzales, General Manager at the time.
- The line of credit granted, as well as the review, scrutiny and verification of the documentation presented by said company, fell to the management of the aforementioned Board of Directors and Management.
- Despite the multiple irregularities detected and verified, the previous administration, with the participation of the Internal Audit and Risk Management, did not apply the disciplinary and/or legal processes adequately, limiting itself to separating from the company a lower-minor official.
- In order to correct this irregular situation, the current administration has proceeded to criminally denounce the former General Manager, Carlos Barrientos Gonzales; the former Commercial Manager, Arturo Vargas Romero and the former Finance Manager, Mathius Sersen Navarrete, for omission of functional acts.
- PETROPERÚ undertakes to keep public opinion informed about the complaints that are being filed against all those who are responsible for this type of irregularity endorsed by the previous administrations of the company.
