PETROPERÚ contributes to the development of Pucallpa
Given recent journalistic reports about the management of PETROPERÚ in the Ucayali Region, we report the following:
- PETROPERU continues to supply fuels to the Ucayali Region, through the Pucallpa Plant, with total regularity in quantity, quality, in accordance with its pricing policy and complying with the current legal framework and good corporate practices.
- Likewise, PETROPERU has contingency plans to guarantee the supply of fuel in Pucallpa, in case of temporary closure of any land access road to the city.
- PETROPERU has no responsibility for the alleged lack of crude oil for the Pucallpa Refinery, operated by Petroleos de la Selva, nor does it have any interference in any commercial negotiation of private companies operating in the Ucayali Region.
- PETROPERÚ maintains a supply contract for the crude oil from Lot 131, which does NOT oblige the operator of that lot to sell us the full amount of its production. Therefore, it has the power to enter into commercial relations and supply crude oil to other companies, in accordance with the free market practices that govern our industry, without that impacting the contract that it maintains with PETROPERU.
- PETROPERÚ promotes practices in favor of free competition in accordance with current legislation, so it is false that commercial practices that could be classified as questionable have been incurred.
- PETROPERÚ makes the greatest efforts to meet the demand for fuels in the Ucayali Region with products of the best quality, optimizing the logistics that allows us to meet the demand with competitive prices.
- PETROPERU is an ally for the development of the Ucayali Region and is committed to its growth, supplying its fuels to locations where other sellers have no presence.
