Petroperú contributes to recycling and collaborates with Aldeas Infantiles

Committed to environmental care through responsible practices that allow living sustainably and in harmony with nature, Petroperú - through its Conchán Sales Plant - delivered 13 tons of paper, intended for recycling, thus contributing to SOS Aldeas Infantiles, an organization that works to promote and defend the rights of children in vulnerable situations.

The delivery is part of the “Recycle, play your role and turn it around” campaign, which seeks to transform the concept of traditional recycling, turning it into an opportunity to provide food assistance to thousands of minors.

The money raised finances the feeding of around hundreds of children in the 120 family homes and 72 community homes distributed in Lima, Callao, Arequipa, Cajamarca, Lambayeque, Junín, Cusco, Puno and Ayacucho.

This initiative, made up of an alliance between SOS Aldeas Infantiles Peru and Petroperú, along with other companies, seeks to donate 1 plate of food to a minor from the SOS Aldeas Infantiles Peru for every 4 kilos of recycled paper.

It should be noted that the State oil company simultaneously seeks to raise awareness among its workers about the importance of responsible consumption of the planet's resources, through the reduction, reuse and recycling of paper and plastic.
