PETROPERÚ continues to consolidate its presence in mining

PETROPERU achieved the homologation of the standards required in the operations of the Volcan Group, after completing a series of evaluations and audits in various fields including Quality Management, Environmental Management, Safety, Occupational Health, Maintenance, Human Resources and Communication, among others.

The approval of this homologation was in charge of the consulting firm Eagle Consulting S.A.C.

The process was arduous, but in each of the required areas, the state oil company obtained a perfect score that surpassed that obtained in 2019. In this way, PETROPERU not only ratifies its leadership, but also consolidates its solid position at the business level, revalidating its management commitments as the first company in the country in a situation in which its commercial presence plays a key role in supplying fuels in Peru.

It should be noted that the Volcan Group is one of the world's largest producers of zinc, lead and silver. Its mining operations are located in the central highlands of the country, with five operating units in Yauli, Chungar, Alpamarca, Óxidos de Pasco and Cerro de Pasco.

This achievement of the Company, which allows it to consolidate its participation in mining, a key industry for the development of Peru, is the product of teamwork and evidences the effort of its workers to achieve a high level of management and process management; in benefit of the economic reactivation of the country.
