Petroperú consolidates its operational efficiency and financial recovery
- Between November 2024 and March 2025, the company has increased its market share (30%).

Petroperú's Chairman of the Board, Alejandro Narváez Liceras, emphasized that the company continues to make progress in its financial recovery, with sustained improvement in its results and uninterrupted compliance with its obligations. "We are going to move forward, and I know we will succeed," noting that projections point to a year-end net profit of around USD 137 million and a 38% market share.
Regarding Lot 192, he announced that Petroperú is coordinating with Perupetro to find a new private partner following the exit of Altamesa Energy. "We are looking for a financially solid partner, and there are already several world-class companies interested," he stated, emphasizing that this measure will guarantee the operational continuity of the field and its maximum utilization for the benefit of the sector's development.
Narváez Liceras also stated that Petroperú maintains its legitimate interest in continuing to operate the northwest blocks that have historically directly supplied the New Talara Refinery (NRT). In this regard, he indicated that the company will continue to operate lots I and VI optimally, in compliance with the temporary contracts signed with the Peruvian government until their completion in October of this year.
"We have been working to achieve the four priority objectives for this year, which are the optimization of the New Talara Refinery, the consolidation of vertical integration, increasing market share, and maximizing profits. This is the path we have set, and we are optimistic about each of our guidelines, for the benefit of the company's operational and financial sustainability," stated Narváez Liceras.
Finally, he noted that the NRT continues to produce the highest-quality fuels through its modern processing and auxiliary units, reaffirming the current board's commitment to operational efficiency and financial sustainability, guaranteeing the fuel supply throughout the country.
