Petroperú completes the improvement of the Lobitos access road
In order to achieve better vehicular traffic and greater access to the tourist circuit of the Piura region, Petroperú completed maintenance work on the road that connects the district of Lobitos with the city of Talara, from the entrance to Lot VI to the beginning of the Pariñas ravine.
Over 15 days, the personnel of the company hired by Petroperú to carry out these works managed to improve more than two kilometers of road, which had unevenness and cracks, compacting the ground in layers and firming the route with moistened fill, which was donated by the district commune.
It should be noted that the improvement of this road aims to improve the terrestrial intercommunication of the rural population, through linear and specific interventions. For the state oil company, this project must be complemented with programs and strategies to improve the maintenance of the tertiary road network.
The maintenance of this road will allow better vehicular traffic and access to the tourist circuit of the province, as it is a route that leads to the natural attractions of Talara such as Las Peñitas beach, in Pariñas, and those located in the Lobitos district.
In this way, Petroperú fulfills its social commitment to the Talareño community, especially with the residents of the Lobitos district, in line with the commitments assumed in the Community Relations Plan of Lot VI and in coordination with the municipality of Lobitos.
