PETROPERÚ completes maintenance work on the northern cone of Talara
PETROPERÚ concluded the road maintenance works corresponding to the second stage of a section of the departmental highway route PI-100 EMP.PE-02 (DV. TALARA)-DV. Negritos-Talara-DV. El Alto -El Ñuro-EMP.PE-1N (El Ñuro Bridge), located in the northern cone of the oil city.
The execution of the work was carried out by the North JPOT Consortium and included the recovery of 1,298.89 meters of track between the EsSalud II Hospital and the Las Peñitas beach crossing.
The intervention included the renovation of the asphalt folder and potholes of the road with an investment of S/ 1’541,342.28. It should be noted that the recovery of this road will allow better vehicular traffic and access to the tourist circuit of the province, as it is a road that leads to the natural attractions of Talara such as Las Peñitas beach, in Pariñas, and those located in the district of Lobitos.
The ceremony for the delivery of the recovered road was carried out with the participation of the neighborhood leaders of the sector, as well as the representatives of PETROPERÚ, to whom the residents expressed their gratitude for the work carried out and their commitment to continue working together in favor of Talara.
It is important to mention that the coordinated work with the presidents of the neighborhood councils of the sector allowed the execution of the works to be carried out with the participation of local labor in the area, in accordance with the Community Relations Plan of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project.
The maintenance works were carried out in line with Addendum No. 1 to the Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement that PETROPERÚ signed, in May 2021, with the Regional Government of Piura and the Piura Regional Directorate of Transport and Communications, responsible for this departmental highway that will be part of La Costanera I Project.
In this way, PETROPERÚ fulfills its social commitment to the community of Talara, especially with the residents of the northern cone, an area where it has developed social investment actions such as training local artisanal fishermen with the purpose of positively impacting their productive work and quality of lifetime.
