Petroperú closed its story contest for early childhood

Petroperú rewarded the winners of the First Early Childhood Story Contest: I take care of you + I respect you + I love you, aimed at mothers from the surroundings of the Conchán Refinery, south of Lima.

The objective of the contest was to promote reading and writing among the participants, helping to develop their imagination, creativity and knowledge. It should be noted that participation in the contest was free.

The award ceremony, held at the National Museum - MUNA, was attended by officials from the state oil company, who presented the winning award to Ruth Isabel Vera Tito, for her story " Yo me llamo Manel." Sandra Palomino, for her work “Una Paloma llamada Cielo” and Elia Villanueva for her “Gaviota y sus Polluelos”, obtained second and third place, respectively.

In the first stage of the contest, 25 stories were selected after their authors participated in a literary training workshop led by an expert in children's literature. This experience allowed them to strengthen their writing, reading and creativity skills, awakening their creative potential in them.

It should be noted that this contest makes it possible to contribute to optimizing the quality of life not only of the participating mothers but also that of their children, since positive habits of affection, care and protection are reinforced through the creation of messages full of confidence, security and self-esteem.

Petroperú will publish the first eight winning stories in a digital and printed edition with limited circulation, seeking to share them in the libraries of the main educational centers of the Villa El Salvador district.
