PETROPERÚ clarifies that the Trompeteros-Saramuro section is not under its jurisdiction
PETROPERÚ addresses the public opinion to clarify the following:
- A communiqué by the Federation of Urarina Indigenous Peoples of the Chambira River (FEPIURCHA) is being shared, announcing forceful measures that lead to the "paralysis of oil activity in the North Peruvian Pipeline (Trumpeteros-Saramuro Section)".
- In view of this, we must clarify that the pipeline referred to is not PETROPERÚ's North Peruvian Pipeline, but rather an industrial infrastructure that is part of Lot 8, in which our company does not have jurisdiction.
- PETROPERÚ's North Peruvian Pipeline begins its journey at Station 1 (Urarinas, Loreto) and ends at the Bayóvar Terminal. Also part of this infrastructure is the North Branch Pipeline that starts at Andoas Station (Urarinas, Loreto) until its confluence with the ONP, at Station 5 (Saramiriza, Loreto).
- We ask the leadership of FEPIURCHA for their support in the pertinent correction of their communications.
