Petroperú clarifies temporary appointment in Corporate Operations Management

In response to a national media outlet's publication on the company's management, Petroperú clarifies the following:

1. M.Sc. Oscar Vera Gargurevich, in charge of the Corporate Operations Management, by agreement of the Board, has assumed temporarily and in addition to his functions the General Management, action that will be executed until the company manages to hire a new general manager in accordance with its Restructuring Plan. His temporary appointment is backed by his more than 40 years of technical experience in the hydrocarbon industry. It should be noted that this type of assignment is a recurring practice in the sector and is contemplated in the rules and procedures of the company.
2. While Eng. Oscar Vera continues in charge of the General Management, in the next meeting, which will be held in the following days, the Board will appoint the professional who meets the profile to cover the position of corporate Operations manager, considered a managerial and trustworthy one.
3. Petroperú, led by Dr. Alejandro Narvaéz Liceras, reaffirms its commitment to transparent and efficient management, driven by the experience and technical capacity of its professionals and whose main objective is the sustainability of the company.
