PETROPERU carries out medical campaign in communities neighboring the Iquitos Refinery

PETROPERU, in partnership with the Regional Health Directorate (Diresa), carried out on Monday, September 3, a comprehensive medical campaign in the 12 communities surrounding the  Poliduct of the Iquitos Refinery.

31 specialists from the Diresa arrived at the Independencia Town Center, located 20 minutes away from the city of Iquitos, where children, teenagers and seniors received free medical attention and talks on various specialties.

The main topics covered were: Control of growth and development, Obstetrics and Family Planning, General Medicine, Talks about Prevention and Control of Malaria, Screening and Rapid Test of HIV, Vaccines against major adult Influenza, Odontological Exams, and Orientation on Health and Oral Hygiene. During the campaign, the most recurrent pathologies were respiratory, diarrheal and parasitic, among others.

The activity is part of the annual Social Management program of the Company, which benefits low-income populations in the area and is an effort of PETROPERU to improve the quality of life of its neighboring communities.
