Petroperú calls on schoolchildren from Talara to participate in short story and literary essay contests
Secondary level students will be able to present their work from October 24 to 28, 2022. Initiative seeks to promote reading among schoolchildren in the city of Talara.
Petroperú launches the call for the II Contest of Stories "Building Stories" and IV Contest of Literary Essays, aimed at secondary school students from schools in the province of Talara, in line with its Cultural Management Policy and the Support Program for Local Development of the Community Relations Plan (PRC) of the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT).
The contests, which are also part of the 43 years of the national Copé Award contest, the 53 years of institutional life of Petroperú and the forthcoming start of the commercial operation of the New Talara Refinery, promote reading, encourage literary creation from an early age and motivate the school population to investigate the cultural identity of Talara and the contribution that the new refining complex of the state company represents at the local level.
The students who occupy the first two places, together with their advisory professors, will be awarded with technology articles. Likewise, the educational institutions that rank first in both categories will be awarded.
The bases of the contest have been published on the web portal of Cultural Management of Petroperú for the review by those interested, who will be able to present their works from October 24 to 28, 2022 through the email: cuentoyensayo2022@petroperu.com.pe
