PETROPERÚ calls for the 2019 Copé Award

Since its first call in 1979, the Copé Award has been the expression of PETROPERU's corporate responsibility as part of its commitment to the development of culture and literary creation in Peru.

The Copé Award, ready to celebrate 40 years of being instituted, is the most recognized and constant contest of our country, which has allowed the promotion of new writers and the consecration of those already experienced, as well as the quality achieved by the works.

Petroperu opens the call for the XIX Biennial of Poetry and the VII Biennial of Novels "2019 Copé Award", in which all Peruvians residing in the country or abroad, and foreign citizens nationalized or resident in Peru, may participate.

The works will be received in the Main Office of PETROPERU (Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro) and in all the refineries and plants of sale at national level. In the case of authors residing abroad, they may leave their work in the diplomatic representations of Peru in their country of residence.

The deadline for submission of works is until Friday August 9, 2019. The XIX Biennial of Poetry will award 35 thousand Soles to the first position, 25 thousand Soles to the second and 15 thousand Soles to the third, in addition to the Copé Award for each one and the publication of the winning works, together with a selected anthology of finalist poems, by PETROPERU, under the Ediciones Copé label.

The winner of the VII Bienal de Novela will receive 45 thousand Soles and the Copé Gold Award, in addition to the publication of his work through the Ediciones Copé label.
