PETROPERU bid farewell to the team that will represent us in Dakar 2020 in Saudi Arabia

On Saturday, December 21, the symbolic farewell to the PETROPERU Team was held at the El Alamo and Kio service stations - located on the South Pan American Highway; formed by Fernanda Kanno, pilot, and Alonso Carrillo, co-pilot, who will represent Peru in the most extreme race in the world: the Dakar Rally, which will take place in the distant and warm desert of Saudi Arabia in January 2020.

During the ceremony, Carlos Barrientos, general manager of PETROPERU, highlighted the participation of a Peruvian woman in this extreme competition. She is the only one in the region, she said, that she will now travel to the other side of the world wearing the colors of the Company's brand.

PETROPERU, as an Official Team Fuel for two years, continues to push the dream and inspire other Peruvians to continue fighting for theirs. Thus, he launched a campaign of encouragement to our pilots where users of Facebook Petroperú Recarga left messages of encouragement; which were printed on a Peruvian flag that will be carried on its journey through the desert.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to sports and its contribution to strengthening a society with values, sponsoring a team that radiates a message of fighting and living for dreams, through its participation in the most extreme rally in the world, whose ambition beyond winning it, is to live the experience they so longed for.

The 42^nd edition of the Dakar Rally 2020 will take place from January 5 to 17 in Saudi Arabia, after ten years of being held in Latin America. In this edition, the route covers 7,856 kilometers and 351 pilots will participate.
