PETROPERU benefits 800 families from Morona with avicultural project
Within the framework of fulfilling its commitments and in line with its Social Management Policy, PETROPERU continued the implementation of the Avicultural Productive Project in 18 communities of the Morona River basin, delivering improved purebred and creole birds, for the benefit of 800 families
To present the project, the Corporate Manager of Social Management and Communications, Beatriz Alva Hart, met with the authorities of the beneficiary communities in the town of Félix Flores, district of Manseriche, Datem del Marañón province, Loreto, who were able to observe the care of the birds that will continue giving themselves to the other populations.
The productive project is part of the activities of the work plan that PETROPERU executes in its operations as part of the Social Management Policy, inspired to contribute to the welfare of its stakeholders. In this case, the project will contribute to favor the feeding of the inhabitants and the genetic improvement of their birds.
The tasks began with the delivery to families of poultry equipment (feeders and drinking troughs) and materials for the implementation of the sheds, continuing training in the care of birds.
Likewise, PETROPERU called for the accompaniment of SENASA for the training and training of promoters in disease control and vaccination of birds.
In a next stage the participation of the Ministry of Health will be managed to guide families on how to improve their eating habits and take advantage of poultry production, especially egg nutrients.
