Petroperú begins recovery of the Cristo Petrolero viewpoint in Talara

As part of its social commitments with Talara, Petroperú began the conditioning of the Cristo Petrolero park and viewpoint, with the aim of recovering this emblematic tourist space and including it in the regional tourist circuit.

The maintenance work will be carried out for a period of 90 calendar days and includes the rehabilitation and replacement of the park's decorations, such as benches, perimeter parapets and curbs; of the Cristo Petrolero monument and the park platform. Likewise, painting work and the supply and installation of artificial lighting will be carried out.

These works have been carried out with local labor, previously coordinated with the presidents of the neighborhood associations of the sector and in line with the Local Labor Hiring Program of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT).

It is important to mention that Petroperú's intervention will also involve the management and implementation of a cultural and tourism promotion strategy with citizen participation by specialists.

The project is executed in coordination with the Tourism Development Deputy Management of the Provincial Municipality of Talara and in compliance with the commitments of the Local Development Support Program of the Community Relations Plan of the PMRT Environmental Impact Study.
