PETROPERU begins preliminary studies to promote the tourism potential of Talara
PETROPERU began a project to boost local tourism, through the Tourism Training Center (CENFOTUR), which consists of preparing a diagnosis that will identify the baseline for the design and implementation of multisectoral action plans contribute to relaunch the tourism industry in this province.
The project is carried out as part of the Community Relations Plan (PRC) of the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) and is executed in line with the declaration of the province as "Tourism Capital of Sun and Beach of the Piura Region ".
CENFOTUR will carry out, for the period of 90 days, a technical study that will include the collection of existing information on the tourism development of Talara, as well as the analysis of the information collected and the definition of priorities with the local authorities to determine specific actions and impact that can be executed in the short and medium term.
To this end, it will hold technical meetings with local and regional authorities and will identify the main actors linked to the beach resource of both the private company and the State in order to develop strategic alliances.

PETROPERU, as part of its social commitment and support for local development, has been executing parallel projects, with the aim of recovering the public spaces of the Pariñas district and thus providing a welcoming face for the enjoyment of the population and visitors.
In this sense, the "Solid Waste Routes" Project, which is being implemented in coordination with the Provincial Municipality of Talara and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), will allow identifying the critical points and developing the route plan for the collection. efficient garbage in the district of Pariñas.
Likewise, the recovery of spaces in the city and green areas began in May with the maintenance and arborization of 1470 m2 of green areas of the malls adjacent to the Cristo Rey human settlement and the area known as "Cola de Gato" in Talara Alta that will generate awareness of the care of the environment and the decoration of the city.
