PETROPERÚ begins maintenance work in the second stage of the Talara northern cone road

In line with the social commitments assumed with Talara, PETROPERÚ began on January 20 the road maintenance works corresponding to the second stage of a section of the departmental highway in the North Cone of the oil city. This is the PI-100 EMP.PE-02 (DV. TALARA)-DV. NEGRITOS-TALARA-DV. EL ALTO-EL ÑURO-EMP.PE-1N (PTE. EL ÑURO), EsSalud II Hospital section – La Playa Las Peñitas crossing.

The road improvement work will be carried out by the North JPO Consortium and will last thirty calendar days. They will include the recovery of the condition of 1,298.89 meters of road through the renovation of the asphalt layer and repair of potholes of the road, with an investment of S/. 1’541,342.28.

It is important to specify that the maintenance work is carried out in line with Addendum No. 1 to the Inter-institutional Cooperation Agreement that PETROPERÚ signed, in May 2021, with the Regional Government of Piura and the Piura Regional Directorate of Transport and Communications, responsible for this departmental highway that will be part of Project I La Costanera.

Likewise, there is the participation of local labor in the area, in coordination with the presidents of the neighborhood councils of the sector and in line with the PMRT Local Labor Recruitment Program.

In this way, the state company fulfills its commitment to the community of Talara, especially with the residents of the Northern Cone, a sector where PETROPERÚ carries out social investment projects, such as the donation of a modular hospital for universal care during the state of health emergency due to COVID-19, as well as training projects for local artisanal fishermen, among others, with the purpose of positively impacting their quality of life.
