PETROPERÚ begins cycle of virtual conferences "Knowing is loving"

With the participation of high school students from the schools of Piura, PETROPERÚ begins its cycle of virtual conferences "Conocer es Querer” (“Knowing is wanting"), which aims to communicate the contributions and achievements obtained by our compatriots throughout the history of our country that this year celebrates its Bicentennial.

The initial conference will be on Manuela Sáenz, known as the heroine of the Independence of South America, which will be under the care of the outstanding researchers Mariana Libertad and María Elena Arce.

This activity, which aims to revalue the role played by women in the process of change and social improvement, claiming their contribution to the development of a more just society, will continue the following Friday of April with exhibitions on María Parado de Bellido (16.4 .2021), Francisca Zubiaga (23.4.2021) and Flora Tristán (30.4.2021), addressed to schoolchildren from Iquitos, Talara and Villa El Salvador, respectively.

The virtual conferences are held live through the Zoom platform and the general public that wants to follow this interesting cycle of conferences can do so through the Facebook Live of the PETROPERÚ Cultural Center, every Friday in April, starting at 11: 00 hours.

The PETROPERÚ Cultural Center maintains a varied agenda that includes conferences, workshops, reading clubs, concerts and other cultural activities with free access to the public of all ages.
