Petroperú begins conversations on representative works of national literature

Petroperú presents a new cycle of conversations dedicated to four writers and representative works of national literature that cover more than 60 years of creative production and that rescue research by prominent national authors such as Rosa Arciniega, Julio Ramón Ribeyro, Mario Vargas Llosa and Edgardo Rivera Martínez .

Through these literary activities, the state enterprise proposes to value those authors that are sometimes forgotten and others whose works by well-known authors present new proposals for analysis and approach to current technologies.

The program called "Literary Anniversaries" will begin this Friday, June 23 with a virtual conversation about the work "Mosko - Strom" by Rosa Arciniega that will begin at 11:00 a.m. and can be followed by the public live through the fanpage of the Petroperu Cultural Center.

The program includes the tribute presentation of the work and the author, the conversation itself with specialist guests and a section for questions from the public. In addition, the reading of fragments of the work and the anecdotes around such emblematic titles for Peruvian literary creation are considered.

On July 21, at the same time, the same will be done with “La palabra del mudo” by Julio Ramón Ribeyro; On August 25, " La ciudad y los perros" will be presented, the first novel by Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa, and on September 15, "País de Jauja" by Edgar Rivera Martínez. The four scheduled conversations will be led by the Peruvian writer and researcher Juan Manuel Chávez.

These activities are part of the company's Cultural Policy in its constant commitment to extend access to cultural products for the benefit of society in general, especially students and teachers throughout the country.
