Petroperú began summer school reinforcement classes in Amazonian communities

Petroperú's Jinkay educational program successfully began its cycle of summer classes aimed at primary and secondary schoolchildren from the Fernando Rosas and Nazareth Native Communities, located in the district of Morona, Datem del Marañón province, Loreto region, near the facilities of the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline.

Thanks to this program, students continue with school reinforcement in mathematics, communication, social and computer science, as well as the promotion of reading. In addition, workshops are carried out with parents, socio-emotional sessions and home visits that promote family involvement in the education of their children.

The “Jinkay” project, which means “seed”, aims to improve school learning in remote communities with the help of parents and authorities in the area so that they become aware of the importance of education and commit to participating throughout the duration of the program.

It should be noted that the use of computer centers that have a quality internet connection is maintained in order to guarantee quick and efficient access to online information, for the benefit of students and the community, thus promoting digital inclusion in the most remote places.

Once again Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to education and access to digital information for the populations close to its operations with the aim of achieving community development.
