PETROPERU awards Ilo students for promoting protection and revaluation of elderly adults
As part of its social responsibility policy, PETROPERU awarded the winners of the regional sweepstakes "Grandparents Now: The rights of the grandparents in your community" promoted by the National Program of Solidarity Assistance Pension 65 of Moquegua.
The representative of PETROPERU, Juan Manuel Banda, presented the prizes to the students of the third grade of Jhanyuri Chucuya -of the Educational Institution (IE) Américo Garibaldi Ghersi- and Aremis Zúñiga -of the IE Mariscal Domingo Nieto-. The awards were presented in a public act.
The directors of both schools thanked the contribution of the oil company in Ilo and their commitment to continue betting on education. "What better incentive for our children, to be recognized for promoting the protection and revaluation of older adults in the province," said Mariscal Nieto director Marlene Ríos Velásquez.
For its part, the head of the Territorial Unit of Pension 65 - Moquegua, Beatriz Requejo Vargas, indicated that 1,657 students participated in this raffle. "For us, as a public institution, the joint work that is being done with PETROPERU is important and we hope to continue strengthening those ties for the benefit of our most vulnerable population, who are our grandparents," he said.
With these activities, PETROPERU continues to demonstrate its work for the well-being of its citizens and reaffirms its commitment to continue contributing to the development of the province.
