PETROPERU asks the Municipality to clarify the distribution of food packages

In order to clarify the complaint made by a group of residents of the Northern Cone of the city, PETROPERU has asked the Provincial Municipality of Talara to report on the delivery procedure for the thousand packages of basic food supplies that the state company acquired, joining the efforts undertaken by the Government to deal with the coronavirus COVID-19.

Likewise, PETROPERU regrets that these events tarnish a social support action, whose main objective was to alleviate the need for Talara families in situations of poverty and extreme poverty who were not benefited by the distribution of the 2,858 baskets that the municipality acquired with the transfer of government funds.

It is important to mention that the delivery of the same was directly entrusted to the provincial commune as it is the institution determined by the Central Government to deliver aid to the most needy families in this difficult period that the country is experiencing, counting with the statistics officials on the situation of vulnerable households in the city.

As part of the actions to control the delivery of the food packages, PETROPERU asked the Municipality of Talara to send the lists with the signatures of the beneficiary families, through which it can be verified that the products have reached those who really need them.

Once again, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to Talara, providing support to the local community in this stage of national emergency, disapproving of any reported act or fact that affects those who need it most and that should be investigated by the competent authorities.

Likewise, it urges the residents of Talavera to report any irregular act that is committed around the delivery of these donations, to the following channels of the Office of Information and Citizen Participation - ICPO: Facebook: ICPO informs, WhatsApp: 923 142 258 and to email: qrs@oipc.com.pe

Committed to Talara

As part of its actions, social responsibility and social projection in this period of national emergency, the state company will also provide the Carlos Vivanco de Talara Health Center II with 5,000 COVID-19 IgM/IgG rapid test kits and 25,000 units of biosafety equipment for the doctors, nurses, technicians and staff of this establishment.
