PETROPERU and UGEL Talara install “Clean Points” in schools
With the objective of contributing to the formation of an environmental culture, PETROPERU, in coordination with the Local Education Unit (UGEL) Talara, implemented the so-called "Clean Points" in twelve schools in this city.
Each "clean point" consists of a metal structure with four trash cans that will allow the proper disposal of solid waste generated in educational institutions.
In this way, it contributes to keep the school clean, students get used to the segregation of waste and the environmental culture of the students is strengthened, so that in the very near future they become citizens committed to the care of the environment.
This is the second year that PETROPERU carries out this environmental project, benefiting in 2018 the educational institutions Alejandro Taboada, 15512 Andrés A. Cáceres, 15513 Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Jorge Chávez, 15509, 15510, Domingo Savio, 14902 María Reina de la Paz, Coronel Víctor Maldonado Begazo, Máximo Heraclio Cornejo Pacora, 15511 San Martín de Porres, and Jabonillal.
PETROPERU will carry out permanent monitoring in order to guarantee its maintenance and good use.
