PETROPERÚ and the municipality of Ilo work together to restart the work of the new terminal
With a view to soon restarting the construction work of the new Ilo Terminal, the new administration of PETROPERÚ and the Provincial Municipality of Ilo, have been working together to make this important project a reality that boosts the economy and will ensure the supply of fuels in the South of the country.
At the last coordination meeting, the General Managing Director of PETROPERÚ, Hugo Chávez Arévalo and the Provincial Mayor of Ilo, Gerardo Carpio Diaz, ratified their commitment to continue working together, through the technical, legal and social working groups that will take place between December 10 and 15.
In these working meetings, issues related to the operation of the current terminal and the construction of the new one will be reviewed. For its part, PETROPERÚ ratified its commitment to implement the Social Management Plan, which, as recalled, included the purchase and delivery of surveillance cameras, which will be installed in spaces within the municipality or Serenazgo module for Zona Viña del Mar.
Among other agreements, the Ilo commune and PETROPERÚ agreed to manage the physical and legal sanitation of the land that could lead to the construction of the wall in the school adjacent to the current Terminal Ilo.
The new Ilo Terminal has the scope of the reception, storage, transfer and dispatch of various fuels, such as B5 diesel, 2E diesel, 84 gasohol, 90 gasohol and 95 gasohol, to meet the demand in the southern part of the country. During its construction it will generate labor and economic dynamism.
