PETROPERU and the municipality of Ilo honor women

The tributes to Peruvian women continue. This time, in Ilo, where the Provincial Municipality and PETROPERU highlighted their important role, agreeing that their participation is preponderant for the development and progress of this port city, in the south of the country.

Thus, the representatives of trade unions, soup kitchens and the Vaso de Leche, among others, received the greeting of our company, highlighting the tenacity, perseverance and strength not only to bring their families forward, but in their important contribution to various projects that are developed in Ilo.

One of them is the new Terminal Ilo, located 24 kilometers south of the city, in front of El Palo beach, in the area called Loma La Buitrera. This new sales terminal will have an area of more than 16 land hectares and will make it possible to meet the current demand and –in the future– new requirements for liquid fuels destined for the southern part of the country.

In that regard, the Mayor of the city, William Valdivia Davila, highlighted the presence of the oil company, and recognized the effort that is being made in providing work to local labor, including women, in the construction of the new terminal.

Likewise, representatives of the social organizations of the port agreed in assuring that the development of a country lies in work, and the work force of Ilo is based on the performance of their women.
