PETROPERU and the Ministry of Women sign agreement to promote preventive practices against sexual harassment

PETROPERU and the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement this morning through which they pledge to promote the full exercise of rights and a life free of violence, protection and discrimination through awareness, empowerment and generation of actions joint ventures that promote a culture of peace for women, children, and vulnerable populations living in the sphere of influence of the company's operations nationwide; as well as of the workers who work in PETROPERU.

The act was chaired by the holder of the Women and Vulnerable Populations portfolio, Gloria Montenegro Figueroa, and the Chairman of PETROPERU Board of Directors Carlos Paredes Lanatta. On the part of the state oil company the document was signed by Carlos Barrientos Gonzales, General Manager.

During this momentous act, the President of the state oil company mentioned that “it has been decided to face this problem in a frontal way; working basically on prevention, which is the reason for this meeting,” he said.

Paredes Lanatta thanked the willingness and willingness of Minister Montenegro to work together. “For us, this is a milestone of change and we will ensure that this day marks the beginning of a strong and lasting relationship, guaranteeing the full exercise of the rights of vulnerable populations, through awareness, empowerment and generation of joint actions”, he said.

In turn, Minister Montenegro thanked the support and collaboration of the state oil company, highlighting its permanent commitment to strengthen the role of women and promote the implementation of projects and campaigns aimed at preventing and eradicating this problem.
