PETROPERU and SUNAT sign interinstitutional cooperation agreement

PETROPERU and the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT) signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement this afternoon. The signing of the agreement by the state oil company was in charge of its General Manager, Carlos Alfredo Barrientos Gonzales and representing the collecting entity, the Deputy National Superintendent of Administration and Finance, Fanny Ysabel Vidal Vidal. The ceremony was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PETROPERU, Carlos Paredes Lanatta.

Fanny Vidal explained that, thanks to this agreement, SUNAT will deliver to PETROPERU the fuel product of the seizures made by said institution, which will be reprocessed or made available in accordance with the management of hazardous waste from the state oil company. He also highlighted the cooperation activities that are part of this agreement, including training and advice for employees of both institutions.

For his part, Carlos Paredes welcomed the signing of this important agreement that he said will be important because it will contribute to improving the management of both institutions, sharing valuable experiences and knowledge for his collaborators. He also noted that from this agreement, other possibilities of agreements that strengthen both public institutions could be evaluated.

It should be noted that initially, within the framework of Legislative Decree No. 1126 and its regulations, the Executive Branch delegated to the SUNAT the power to control and control the use of 37 chemical products or supplies, among which are gasoline and diesel, supervising the work of importers, producers, transporters and marketers of this type of goods.

The agreement, which will last 24 months, will also allow the development of training and/or academic activities, in order to strengthen the capacities of the workers of both institutions in related subjects: SUNAT in regulatory matters and PETROPERU in relation to the characteristics and fuel handling.
