PETROPERU and PETROECUADOR subscribed a new contract for the purchase of fuel
A new contract was signed today in Quito between PETROPERÚ and the EP PETROCUADOR company for the direct sale without intermediaries of 3,960 MB of crude oil. Thus, the Ecuadorian company will provide fuel to the refineries of the Peruvian state company from next year.
This commercial agreement has been made under the modality of direct negotiation of eleven cargoes of 360 MB +/- 5% each of the eastern oil in conditions FOB Balao (Esmeraldas) Ecuador, to receive during the period from January to November 2019 a monthly shipment .
It should be noted that the final number of shipments is subject to availability of EP PETROECUADOR. Also, if the Ecuadorian company has additional cargoes that are not committed and are in the capacity to deliver them to PETROPERU, they may offer such shipments.
In addition, the prices will be fixed based on the adjudications of the international oil competitions Oriente de EP PETROECUADOR.
First Contract
It is worth remembering that on April 26 of this year, the same company had already signed a contract under a similar modality for the supply of three to eight shipments of 360 MB +/- 5% each of Crudo Oriente under FOB Balao (Esmeraldas) Ecuador conditions, during the period from May to December 2018, to also receive a monthly shipment.
On that occasion, the prices were also set based on the awards of the international oil competitions East of EP PETROECUADOR. To date, Petroecuador has delivered seven shipments of Oriente crude oil. The last cargo will be loading from December 14 to 16, 2018.
