Petroperú and Grupo KIO strengthen their commercial partnership by opening a new service station in Ica

Petroperú and the KIO Group inaugurated a new service station (known as a “grifo”) in the city of Ica, strengthening their business relationship and consolidating an innovative cooperation model that will strengthen the country's fuel distribution network. This modern fuel supply center joins the 15 stations already operating in the Petroperú Network in the Ica region, presenting a new alternative for the public.

The inauguration, attended by the Chairman of the Board, Alejandro Narváez Liceras, strengthens Petroperú's position in the market, promoting private investment, and helping to expand the supply of quality fuels at competitive prices.

“The opening of this modern service station is part of the company's new commercial policy to boost sales and recover the country's fuel market by attracting new strategic business partners. This is already yielding positive results, with Petroperú's fuel market share growing, estimated to reach 35% by the end of this year,” said Alejandro Narváez Liceras, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú.

Petroperú's partnership with the privately owned KIO Group dates back more than 40 years and is now strengthened through the cooperation model implemented, whereby a private operator builds and operates a station on land owned by Petroperú, under a 20-year surface rights contract.

With this new station, the KIO Group now has 11 service stations under the Petroperú brand, maintaining monthly sales of 2 million gallons, consolidating its position as the company's main retail customer nationwide. The station also incorporates a VAO convenience store, bringing the number of these establishments in Ica to four and 37 nationwide. These stores complement the fuel offering with a modern, efficient, and diverse service experience.

Recovery of a space with historical value

The new station is located on the land that previously housed Petroperú's sales plant in Ica, giving the project additional symbolic value. This recovery through private investment is a concrete example of efficient management and commitment to sustainable regional development, benefiting more Peruvians.

Petroperú has the largest network of affiliated service stations nationwide, with more than 700 stations across the country, offering quality fuels at the most competitive prices on the market.
