Petroperú and Gore Loreto will promote social peace and environmental protection in the Amazon

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú, Alejandro Narváez Liceras, along with the General Manager, Oscar Vera Gargurevich, held a working meeting with the regional governor of Loreto, René Chávez Silvano, in which they expressed the commitment of the state-owned company to work on strategic alliances that promote social peace and environmental care in the Amazon.

During the meeting, Chávez Silvano, accompanied by his technical team, highlighted the presence of Petroperú in the Peruvian jungle with the Iquitos Refinery, the North Peruvian Pipeline and Lots 192 and 64, which are about to be reactivated; pointing out that the operations of these assets represent a key opportunity to promote the development of the surrounding communities.

For his part, Narváez Liceras, ratified Petroperú's commitment to collaborate closely with local and regional governments, seeking to generate a positive and direct impact on the communities close to its operations through the strengthening of the company's social responsibility programs, with the establishment of harmonious relations and the preservation of the environment as fundamental pillars.

Both authorities agreed that this alliance will be essential to contribute to the sustainable progress of the Amazonian communities and the country.
