PETROPERU and armed forces expect to carry out joint actions of social outreach
PETROPERU and representatives of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces (CCFFAA) have been negotiating the signing of a framework agreement for joint actions of social projection in communities in the area of influence of the operations of the state company, prioritizing the attention of communities that are in the zone of the Amazon.
The announcement was made after a meeting chaired by Beatriz Alva Hart, Corporate Manager of Social Management of the state oil company, and in which Tomás Flores, Assistant Manager of Social Development of PETROPERU, Colonel Fernando Álvarez, representative of the CCFFAA and Nelly de Astudillo, president of the Virgen de la Merced Association, which is made up of the wives of the officers who provide services in the CCFFAA.
At the meeting, PETROPERU presented its Social Management Plan, as well as the results of the main social responsibility projects and activities that the Company has been carrying out. After this, areas of common interest between both institutions were agreed upon, which will allow to establish a strategic alliance for the development of joint actions.
The meeting concluded with the agreement to sign a Framework Collaboration Agreement between both entities. At the same time, PETROPERU invited a delegation from the CCFFAA to a working visit to communities in the Morona basin where productive projects are being developed that contribute to the development of populations that are in conditions of economic and social vulnerability.
This important collaboration is framed within the PETROPERU Social Management Plan, which considers the strengthening of the articulation with different public and private entities.
