PETROPERU quickly aided with the works for the control of the fire that happened in the morning of the last Saturday, May 11, in the lands of the municipal waste dump in the city of Ilo, in Moquegua.

"Faced with the call of local authorities, the Top Management of PETROPERU ordered the immediate contracting of a frontal loader to help in the work of control and mitigation of the fire in the area," said Tomás Flores Noriega, Deputy Manager of Social Development of the company state.

On the other hand, the Municipal Manager, Julio Granados, thanked the oil company's predisposition to support the Ilean community in emergencies or difficult situations.

PETROPERU has been working in coordination with the Provincial Municipality of Ilo at critical junctures, as demonstrated during the summer season, when there was a shortage of water in the city and the Company ordered the contracting of tanker trucks for the distribution of drinking water in the cities. most affected areas.

In this way, PETROPERU reaffirms its commitment to provide social support to the population of Ilo, where a modern sales terminal is being built, which will seek to meet the demand for liquid fuels in the southern part of the country.
