PETROPERU again sponsors the 2018 Caminos del Inca rally

For over two decades, PETROPERU continues to be the official sponsor of the Caminos del Inca rally, the most important automobile race in the country that, this time, in its 48th edition, will cross seven regions of the country, through its 3,036 kilometer-long  route. This year, the competition will pay homage to the National Police.

The Commercial Manager [e] of PETROPERU, Wilder Marcial Caballero Silva, remarked during the press conference held this afternoon in the auditorium of the oil company, that the commitment continues to encourage the traditional national race, in which the pilots showcase all their skills at the wheel and which, in addition, highlights the good performance of our high quality fuels, as well as our asphalts on the tracks.

Let us recall, he said, that it is a very difficult and complex competition, since it challenges the pilots, mentally and physically, to travel thousands of kilometers and reach heights close to 4000 m.a.s.l. He also announced that this year the oil company is betting on Fernanda Kanno and José Luis Tommasini to wear the colors of PETROPERU. "He has been the winner of Caminos del Inca in the 2014 and 2015  editions, and Miss Kanno has had an outstanding performance in the last 2017 Dakar Rally", he said.

The event was attended by Luis Alayza, president of Automovil Club Peruano, who thanked the state oil company for the permanent support to this automotive test, considered the most important in Peruvian motoring.

The competition is scheduled for October 18, starting from Lima to Huancayo, via Trapiche. Then it will continue through Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Apurímac, Cusco, Arequipa and Ica, covering a total of seven regions.
