PETROPERU again leads the ranking of the 500 largest companies of the country
With sales of more than US $ 4,079 million during 2017, PETROPERU is once again the leader of the ranking of the 500 largest Peruvian companies, according to the latest report of AméricaEconomía magazine, considered to be the most read and influential publication in business, economics and finance of the region. The prestigious magazine also highlights that the state oil company is the one that has grown the most in EBITDA, that is, in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
Special mention is the fact that the state company is also in the first place in terms of net profits, obtained in 2017, with US $ 218.7 million in the hydrocarbons sector. Likewise, PETROPERU is ranked 139, among the 500 largest companies in Latin America.
To this must be added the fact that PETROPERU also leads the "ranking" of the oil companies in the country with the greatest potential to attract and retain talent, according to the study prepared by the prestigious Corporate Reputation Monitor (Merco).
Likewise, it should be remembered that the state oil company holds the international rating of investment grade BBB- by Standard & Poor's, BBB+ Fitch Ratings and a local rating of AA+(pe) by Apoyo & Asociados. It has also been recognized as an AA+.pe company by Equilibrium, affiliated with the credit rating agency Moody's Investors.
