PETROPERÚ adheres to the Restructuring Plan

The Board of Directors of PETROPERÚ decided to appoint - as of January 22 - Luis Casimiro Morales García as corporate finance manager, a qualified position of management and trust. Likewise, as of February 15, Mario Fernando Urrello Leyva will occupy the position of Corporate Legal Manager. These actions are part of the company's Restructuring Plan approved in 2023.

Both appointments, agreed at the last meeting of the Board of Directors on January 11, are part of the process of change that the State oil company carries out in its organizational structure, thus fulfilling one of the objectives of the Restructuring Plan to strengthen the governance of PETROPERÚ and ensure its financial sustainability and its operations, at the national level. The restructuring plan also considered the resizing of the company's organizational structure in accordance with its strategic objectives and industry best practices, an optimization that was approved in November 2023.

The trajectory of both officials is noteworthy; Luis Casimiro Morales holds a master's degree from the Universidad del Pacífico and a bachelor's degree in economic engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. His vast work experience includes the finance and planning management of various companies, also reaching senior positions in various private banks.

For his part, lawyer Mario Urrello Leyva has a master's degree in constitutional law and human rights from the University of Bologna (Italy); with specializations in business labor law and experience in environmental and hydrocarbon law, among others.

It should be noted that both professionals have been selected through a rigorous competition, run by an independent entity (Head Hunter) and under the guidelines for the selection of managers of the National Fund for the Financing of State Business Activity – Fonafe.

PETROPERÚ will continue to select other members of its management staff; as well as the members of the corresponding Board of Directors, which will have the corresponding gender quota, in accordance with its renewed bylaws, approved in September 2023.
