Petroperú activates protocol due to presence of hydrocarbons on Talara beach
At 9:00 am today, the presence of hydrocarbons was detected on the Capullanas beach, located 10 kilometers north of the Talara Refinery. Petroperú personnel immediately deployed the contingency and cleaning team to address the situation.
On the other hand, yesterday, Friday, December 20, during the maneuvers prior to the loading of hydrocarbons on the POLYAIGOS vessel, at the Talara Refinery submarine terminal, the presence of hydrocarbons was detected while the operation was taking place in the submarine line. The situation was immediately controlled and, as a preventive measure, all operations were suspended to inspect the area near the terminal. Likewise, the corresponding cleaning activities were started.
Petroperú maintains constant communication with the competent authorities to report on the evolution of the situation and reiterates its commitment to keep the public duly informed.
