PETROPERÚ acquires more than one million barrels of diesel at a competitive price

PETROPERÚ made the purchase of more than one million barrels of low sulfur diesel in the international market, at a competitive cost. This important international acquisition will reduce the price of this fuel that moves transport nationwide.

The well-known oil companies, Chevron and Shell, will be the suppliers of the low-sulfur diesel that PETROPERÚ will soon commercialize in its plants and terminals, maintaining more competitive list sales prices, for the benefit of customers in the local market.

In a previous tender, PETROPERÚ made the direct purchase of a significant volume of gasoline at competitive prices, which was won by British Petroleum (BP) and Shell, the main refiners in the world.

PETROPERÚ will continue to generate efficiencies for the benefit of offering national consumers the best quality products at better prices; within the framework of the constant search for operational excellence in the state-owned company and the generation of value for the country.

The successful tenders for the acquisition of fuels are part of the objective set by the new Administration to maintain and recover PETROPERÚ's participation in the national market, as well as the completion of the construction of the New Talara Refinery in the lowest possible cost and term.
