PETROPERU: a step forward in innovative and technological products

PETROPERU continues to draw attention at EXPOMINA Perú 2018, the most important mining trade show in the country. On this occasion, the Deputy Manager of Marketing of the state oil company, Wilder Caballero Silva, gave details of the innovative Mining Operations Management System (SantiaGO), custom developed by the company for its mining clients.

"This tool allows us to have a better integral management of the supply of fuels, which includes planning, programming, land terminal loading, unloading, inventory management and fuel dispatch in the client's mining operations," he said.

He added that this software will allow for the total, real time, control of the operation, which will bring about a sustained growth of the Company in the competitive mining market. He stressed that all this is part of PETROPERU's commitment to the development of the country.

Caballero Silva also stressed the importance of the new Ninacaca Sales Plant, in the Pasco region, whose first stone was placed on September 11, since it will grant greater commercial dynamism to the central area of the country with the consequent economic growth.

PETROPERU FUELS

For its part, María Mercedes Cárdenas, head of the Technical Services Unit of PETROPERU, explained in a very didactic way the evolution of the quality of fuels in our country, clarifying several doubts about the refining of crude oil and the different types of fuels available.

For the official, the fuels that the Company commercializes for the mining companies are of the highest quality, with a total filtration level which optimizes the level of cleanliness required by the engines of the mining machinery. In that sense, he said that diesel is the most used by mining companies due to its high calorific value. In addition, he clarified the good behavior in cold temperatures of diesel B5 F50 currently marketed by PETROPERU.
