Pedro Gamio joins the Petroperú Board of Directors

The General Shareholders' Meeting of Petroperú, during its universal session on July 24, 2024, agreed to appoint Pedro Gamio Aita as a non-independent director, effective July 25 of this year.

With this inclusion, the company's Board of Directors will be composed of the following members: Oliver Thomas Alexander Stark, president; Germán Alfredo Boza Pro, vice president; Pedro Fernando Gamio Aita; David Alfredo Tuesta Cárdenas and Carlos Augusto Villalobos as directors. Likewise, Antonio Leonardo Manosalva Alarcón remains as the director representing the workers.

Gamio Aita is a lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and has a Master's degree in Management and Analysis of Public Policies from the Carlos III University of Madrid. He also has studies at Harvard University. He has been Chief of Staff of the Ombudsman's Office, part of Peru's negotiating team at COP 20 and delegate and speaker at COP 21 in Paris. He was Deputy Minister of Energy and Director for Latin America of the Global Village Energy Partnership.

He has also served as senior advisor to the Energy and Environment Fund for the Andean Region; consultant to the World Bank and the Environmental Assessment and Oversight Agency (OEFA) and the National Center for Strategic Planning (CEPLAN). He has worked for Petroperú, Chevron and Repsol Exploración.
