Oily substance in the sea of Talara is not related to Petroperú activities

Petroperú reports that since February 24, at 7:00 p.m., following the port closure notified by Captaincy Resolution No. RC 011A-2025/MGP/DGCG/TA, the port facilities of the Talara Refinery are closed (submarine terminal, docks No. 1 and No. 2 for liquid cargo), and no operations are being carried out there.
In this context, Petroperú reports that the oily substance reported today in the tanker anchorage area, approximately 3 kilometers from the coast, has no link to its operations.
Likewise, Petroperú personnel have confirmed with the presence of the Environmental Assessment and Oversight Agency (OEFA), that there is no evidence or trace of hydrocarbons in the port facilities or in the refinery's effluent outlets, information that has also been communicated to the Harbor Master's Office for appropriate action.
