Oil museum of PETROPERU celebrates 23 years of its creation

PETROPERU, committed to its Social Responsibility Policy, continues to provide information - in a didactic and entertaining way - about the origin, exploration, exploitation and commercialization of fuels, through its renovated Oil Museum, which celebrates 23 years of educating and informing.

Located in Parque de Las Leyendas, in the district of San Miguel, this Oil Museum has become one of the most visited places by children attending the fair, receiving - during 2018 - more than 200 thousand attendees, among children, youths and adults.

The specialized personnel who assist visitors have updated information on each of the stages of petroleum industrialization, offering small data such as the phases of the origin of the universe, geological and paleontological aspects, and the stages from exploration to commercialization of the crude oil.

During 2018, 12 activities have been carried out, including workshops, activations, competitions and exhibitions, and in 2019, it will continue to bet on education in the country, offering guided tours and other activities in which children will undoubtedly be the protagonists.

The museum is located in a space of the international zone and has large green areas and an artificial lagoon. The hours of operation are from Tuesday to Sunday and holidays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
