Oil and natural gas companies of Lationamérica and the Caribbean meet in Lima

The highest executives of the Regional Association of Oil and Natural Gas Companies in Latin America and the Caribbean (ARPEL) met at the main headquarters of PETROPERU, to participate in the Board of Directors and Extraordinary General Assembly in which the activities of the present were reviewed year and those to be carried out in 2020.

Within the next year's agenda, the sixth edition of the ARPEL 2020 Oil and Gas Conference is scheduled to be held in Lima from April 15 to 17. In this important regional forum of specialized debate, the main leaders of the energy sector will give their vision on the present and the future of the industry and will bring together executives and technicians of operating companies and suppliers of the sector.

During the day, the directors of the association discussed topics of interest related to the growth of the upstream; improvements in operational performance and management systems; development of a responsible business culture; health and prevention of work incidents and improving the reputation of the hydrocarbon industry in the countries that make up this conglomerate.

Founded in 1965, ARPEL is a non-profit association that brings together companies and institutions from the oil, gas and biofuels sector in Latin America and the Caribbean. It currently has 24 active partners and six cooperators, who seek to promote the integration, growth, operational excellence and effective socio-environmental performance of the industry in the countries that comprise it.
